A project close to our heart; a new home for Fabriq.

With an abundance of light (and much more room) in the new workspace, our staff are delighted; and so are we. We are so happy with our new home; a much bigger and brighter showroom and plenty of parking too.

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Thank you

A big thank you to those who have worked hard to build our fabulous new premises.

Todd Newman Builders for taking on the challenge of a commercial build of our kind. Their scope is usually residential but Todd applied the same principles to achieve a building to our budget, resulting in a quality build that is a credit to their business and their contractors.
Our project managers, James (internal) and Glenn (external), worked to tight schedule and promised to deliver when they said they would. We kept pretty close to budget, but if there was any time that we needed to vary (there is always something that props up unexpectedly), communication was clear every step of the way. The TNB crew on site were always polite when we would drop by and kept the building site tidy and respectful.

The talented duo at CoLAB Studio, Narell Peacock and Rebecca Johns.
Narell for her architectural design flair and endless knowledge of commercial build requirements. We have exactly what she designed.
Rebecca for her endless knowledge too; for interior and exterior finishes including the front façade which looks a million bucks! Her hand-holding and reassurance when it came to selecting the flooring, kitchen design, tapware, tiles and the finishing touches.

Other businesses:

KCH Pavers and Garden Supplies
Fortunately just around the corner, and open during the Christmas and New Year period, so that we could slog it out when we were closed for our Christmas break. Their $2 cans of soft drink came in very handy the day we shovelled 11 cubic meters of soil!

Metal Works
Luke took the time to understand what we needed for our showroom and workroom. Together we designed and engineered pieces that not only present well for our studio and workroom space, but are practical and will be productive.

Rapid Powder Coating for the quality finish to our metal work, as well their patience for our endless trips back and forth with our 2×4 trailer.

Wizartry Signs
Heath was extremely patient as I changed my mind for a little while, but in the end has delivered a signage package that reflects our standard of business.

Gecko IT for implementing our new phone system and wi-fi.

TrueTech for our security system.

Windridge Fencing for our perimeter fences and front gates that complement the architectural integrity of the building.

Closer to home…

Landscaping – well that was an in-house job – a lot of hard yakka undertaken this summer including our children Vi and Aiden, sometimes begrudgingly, but they were well paid. Without the wonderful talent of our very own Justin, previously a landscaper (who knew?!), who has a knack of understanding my vision at the best of times, we managed to pull it off and the result is quite impressive.

Mum and Dad (Pam and Murray) – always there to help along the way not shying away from the heavy lifting, digging, barrow-ing, shovelling. The endless trips with the ute loading up and unloading! Proud as punch to see our little business grow into a space that now really has the space to grow as it should.
